Tyler and Hailey stood frozen, their faces a mix of shock and disbelief.

For three years, they had seen Jordan as nothing more than a broke, spineless loser—a man destined for nothing.

    And yet…

Here he was, checking into a five-star hotel, something even they didn’t do often.

    $1,000 a night?

Tyler’s voice trembled as he turned to Hailey.

“Are you sure he only had a few hundred dollars? Could he have been hiding money from you all these years?”

Hailey, still reeling, shook her head uncertainly.

    “I… I don’t know. Maybe he did.”

    Tyler scoffed.

“This guy’s got guts. I told him he wouldn’t be able to stay in any hotel four stars and below, and he had the audacity to check into a five-star hotel instead?”

He assumed Jordan was just trying to spite him—burning through whatever savings he had left to prove a point.

    Little did Tyler know…

Jordan had only ever stayed in five-star hotels his entire life.

    A Sudden Realization

    Hailey’s gaze darkened.

“Do you have a way to get him kicked out?”

    Tyler hesitated.

For once, his usual arrogance faded.

    “That’s… going to be tricky.”

Unlike smaller hotels, five-star establishments were run by powerful people—people that even Tyler couldn’t afford to offend.

Besides, if word got out that a guest had been forced out due to personal grudges, it would damage the hotel’s reputation.

    With no choice, Tyler sighed.

“Let’s just wait. Even if he’s been hoarding money, how long can he afford it? He’ll be out of here in a day.”

    Hailey, however, wasn’t satisfied.

Just moments ago, Tyler had bragged about cutting off Jordan’s resources.

    And now?

    He was powerless.

She crossed her arms, her frustration evident.

“Fine. But let’s at least find out how long he plans to stay.”

Tyler turned to the hotel staff.

“Did Jordan Steele check in for just a night?”

The front desk attendant barely glanced at the system before answering.

“No, sir. Mr. Jordan has booked a seven-night stay.”

    A Shocking Price Tag

    Tyler felt his breath hitch.

    “Seven nights?!”

    Hailey’s eyes widened in fury.

    “That’s… that’s $7,000!”

    Tyler’s mind raced.

‘Did he really save that much over the years?’

    Hailey’s expression darkened further.

“He must have been stealing from the grocery, dog food, and household expenses! That greedy bastard!”

Given Jordan was the one handling their shopping, it was possible he had been pocketing money for years.

Or so Hailey wanted to believe.

    But then…

The front desk attendant hesitated before adding something that made their blood run cold.

“Actually… Mr. Jordan didn’t book a regular room. He booked the presidential suite.”

    The Truth Hits Hard

    “WHAT?!”

    Tyler and Hailey almost collapsed.

    ‘PRESIDENTIAL SUITE?!’

    Hailey’s legs felt weak.

    “That’s… $10,000 a night…”

Tyler did the mental calculation instantly.

    “A WEEK COSTS $70,000!”

    Their jaws dropped.

Jordan… had just dropped $70,000 like it was nothing.

Where the hell did he get that money!?

The front desk attendant blushed slightly.

“Oh, and he also tipped me $1,000.”

    Hailey’s face contorted in rage.

“WHO SAID YOU COULD TAKE HIS TIP! THAT’S MY FAMILY’S MONEY!”

    Desperate for Answers

Tyler grabbed Hailey’s arm and pulled her aside.

“Forget the damn tip! Where did he get $70,000?”

Hailey bit her lip, her mind racing.

She had cut off his cards.

His monthly allowances from the Camdens weren’t enough.

Even if he had saved money, he shouldn’t have been able to afford this kind of luxury.

Then, a sinister thought crossed her mind.

“He used to visit Grandma a lot… and she has tons of expensive antiques at home. Could he have stolen something and sold it?”

    Tyler’s eyes flickered with realization.

Old Mrs. Camden received countless rare antiques as gifts each year.

If Jordan had stolen even one, he could have made hundreds of thousands.

    Tyler snapped his fingers.

“That must be it! Call your mom. Tell her to check Grandma’s house for missing antiques!”

    The Camden Family’s Growing Suspicion

    Meanwhile, at the Marriott Hotel

The banquet was wrapping up, but no one wanted to leave.

The most awaited guest had still not arrived.

The mysterious sender of the $1 million jadeite bracelet.

Victoria, who had been watching silently, felt a growing sense of unease.

She took a deep drag from her slender cigarette before turning to the Camdens.

“It’s been nearly an hour. Even with heavy traffic, the person should’ve arrived by now.”

She tapped her fingers on the table.

A suspicion crept into her mind.

“What if the bracelet was really from Jordan?”

The idea sent a chill down her spine.

If true, then she had seriously misjudged him.

At that moment, Sylvie’s phone rang.

She picked it up with a smug smile.

“Hailey, how’s it going? You’re finally free from that loser, huh?”

Hailey’s voice came through, filled with urgency.

“Mom, go to Grandma’s house! Check if any of her antiques are missing. Jordan might’ve stolen something to sell!”

    Sylvie gasped.

“WHAT?! That good-for-nothing stole from your grandmother?”

At the sound of that, Victoria’s tension eased.

A smirk formed on her lips as she exhaled a stream of smoke.

“Hmph. I thought he was a big shot. Turns out, he’s just a thief.”

    But was he really?

Or was the truth something far beyond their imagination?
