No matter how many times Benedict called out, Drew ignored him completely.

There was no way he was going near Jordan again.

Twice today, he had been beaten senseless by the man he once called a “good-for-nothing.” If he tried again, he might not walk away unscathed.

Benedict, Jordan’s former father-in-law, felt a deep unease. Now that Jordan was no longer family, he was afraid Jordan might lash out at him too.

Unlike his brother Herman, Benedict had no ties to the mafia—he had no backup if things went south.

So, instead of confronting Jordan himself, he called his daughter, Hailey.

The Call That Set Things in Motion

📞 Benedict: “Hailey, are you still at West Lake Hotel?”

📞 Hailey: “Yes, Dad. I am.”

📞 Benedict: “We just checked Grandma’s villa. A Richard Mille watch—worth over $800,000—is missing. Jordan must have taken it.”

📞 Hailey (furious): “That scoundrel! No wonder he has the money to stay in a five-star presidential suite! Watch how I deal with him!”

    Hailey hung up immediately.

Fueled by rage and self-righteousness, she marched straight to the hotel’s front desk.

“Which room is Jordan Steele staying in?”

Just as she demanded his room number, Tyler grabbed her arm.

    “Hailey, what are you doing?”

“What am I doing? I’m bringing that thief back! He stole my grandfather’s watch!”

Tyler sighed, knowing that storming into Jordan’s room would only cause trouble.

“Don’t go. Just call the cops.”

But Hailey shook him off angrily.

“Why are you such a coward? If you’re too scared, I’ll go by myself!”

With that, Hailey stormed off toward the elevator.

    Face-to-Face with Her Ex-Husband

    🔥 Bang! Bang! Bang! 🔥

Hailey pounded on the door with both fists, completely ignoring the doorbell.

    “Jordan, you thief! Open up!”

Inside, Jordan had just finished showering. He was drying his hair when he heard the furious banging at his door.

Switching off the blow-dryer, he sighed in frustration.

“Why is this woman still pestering me?”

They were divorced, and yet she was still chasing after him.

Jordan put down the dryer, walked over, and swung the door open.

    Hailey froze in shock.

Standing before her was a different man than the one she had ignored for the past three years.

Jordan was wearing a loose bathrobe, exposing his sculpted chest and abs. His damp hair was pushed back, giving him an edgy, dominant look.

🔥 He looked like someone powerful. Someone untouchable. 🔥

For three years, Hailey never cared to look at him properly. She never even knew he had abs.

“If I had known earlier, I would have made him stay shirtless at home in the summer,” she thought, suddenly regretting her indifference.

But before she could get lost in more thoughts, Jordan’s cold voice snapped her back to reality.

    “What’s the matter?”

Hailey quickly recovered and pointed a furious finger at him.

“Jordan, did you steal my grandma’s Richard Mille watch?”

    Jordan raised an eyebrow.

    “What Richard Mille watch?”

“Don’t play dumb!” Hailey snapped. “An $800,000 watch is missing from my grandmother’s home! You must have taken it! Otherwise, how could you afford to stay in a presidential suite? Even I have never stayed in one before!”

    Jordan couldn’t help but laugh.

    The Camdens were unbelievable.

They never gave him anything in three years. Yet, the moment they needed someone to blame, they came running to him.

    His voice turned icy.

“Miss Camden, I never took anything from your family. Nor have I stolen any watch. Now, leave.”

The Pain of Being “Miss Camden”

Hailey felt a sting in her heart.

For three years, he called her:

    • “Hailey.”
    • “Baby.”
    • “Dearest Wife.”
    • “My Goddess.”

    But now…

    He called her Miss Camden.

It was a knife to the chest.

Her anger turned to sadness, and suddenly, she felt wronged.

“Jordan, you’re so heartless! Why are you in such a hurry to chase me away? Is there a woman in your room?”

    Jordan leaned against the doorframe.

    His eyes darkened.

“Whether there is or isn’t… what does it matter? We’re already divorced.”

    Hailey felt her face flush.

“We’ve been divorced for less than an hour, and you’ve already hooked up with another woman?! And you’re using my family’s money to do it!”

    🔥 SLAP! 🔥

Jordan burst into laughter, mocking her hypocrisy.

“Oh? So you were allowed to cheat on me while we were married…”

    🔥 “But I can’t be with another woman after we’re divorced?” 🔥

    “Who’s the unfaithful one here?”

    Hailey bit her lip.

    She had no response.

Instead of admitting her mistake, she barreled forward and tried to push past him.

She was going to find this “mystery woman” and slap her across the face.

    But…

    Jordan blocked her path effortlessly.

His muscular arm extended, holding her back without even trying.

His next words were sharp and final.

🔥 “Miss Camden, you are not worthy of stepping foot inside a presidential suite.” 🔥

🔥 “If you refuse to leave, I’ll call security.” 🔥

    A Battle of Power

    Hailey glared at him.

But deep inside, she knew she had already lost.

Jordan wasn’t the man she once controlled.

This wasn’t the timid, obedient live-in husband who spent three years waiting on her family’s every whim.

    This was a different Jordan.

    A man who was rising.

And for the first time in three years, Hailey wasn’t sure if she had made the right choice.
