Chapter 54: The King’s Revenge
by SlivvoVictoria leaned forward, eyes gleaming.
“Mr. Steele, are you planning to let Hailey marry Tyler first—only to reveal your identity on their wedding day? So she’ll be forced to face the biggest regret of her life?”
Jordan stopped drinking and stared at Victoria.
A slow smile spread across his face.
“You’re sharp,” he said. “That’s exactly what I plan to do.”
Victoria’s heart raced.
He’s a genius.
Jordan wasn’t just seeking revenge—he was crafting a masterpiece.
He could have easily exposed the truth today, making Hailey beg to return to him.
But if she knew now, she would simply break up with Tyler and cling to Jordan like she always had.
That wouldn’t be enough.
It wouldn’t be satisfying.
No, Jordan wanted her to walk down the aisle, to put on the wedding dress, to say “I do”, thinking she was making the best decision of her life—
Only to find out, too late, that she had chosen the wrong man.
That the true king had been in front of her all along.
And on that day, it wouldn’t just be Hailey who learned the truth.
It would be everyone.
“I’ll make sure that on the day of their wedding,” Jordan continued, “the entire Orlando business world will know that I—Jordan Steele—am the president of Ace Corporation.”
His eyes burned with determination.
“I’ll be the richest man in Orlando. The most powerful. A restaurant magnate. I’ll hold entertainment, business, and every major industry in my grasp.”
“I will be—”
Jordan’s voice lowered, but the power behind his words shook the room.
“—the King of this city.”
The Queen’s Ambition
Victoria’s chest tightened.
This… This is the kind of man I’ve been waiting for!
She had always dreamed of standing beside a man like Jordan.
A powerful, unstoppable man who didn’t just play the game—he owned it.
Her lips curled.
Then I’ll be the Queen of Orlando.
Meanwhile, Ashley, standing to the side, clutched her hands together.
‘Mr. Steele is incredible!’ she thought, her cheeks flushed.
She glanced at Victoria and sighed.
‘Well… If Miss Clarke is going to be his queen… then I’ll settle for being his concubine!’
The Sabotage
Bang! Bang!
A knock on the door.
“Come in,” Jordan said.
The restaurant manager entered, carrying an electronic tablet.
“Mr. Steele, we checked the surveillance footage,” he reported. “The microphone during the performance was swapped—most likely by a customer.”
He hesitated.
“We’re currently searching every private room.”
Jordan smirked.
“That won’t be necessary.”
He tapped the table twice.
“Go straight to Rooms 422 and 501.”
The manager blinked in shock.
Even Victoria looked at Jordan, astonished.
How does he know that?
“The guests in those two rooms,” Jordan explained, “were the first to throw objects down before the rest of the crowd joined in. They weren’t just reacting—they were inciting the chaos.”
A tense silence filled the room.
Victoria’s admiration deepened.
‘His memory… his deduction skills…’
He wasn’t just a businessman.
He was a strategist.
And he was unstoppable.
The Culprit
Minutes later, the security team dragged in a young man from Room 422.
He looked irritated, his blazer slightly wrinkled from resisting.
“What the hell is this?” he barked. “I’m trying to have drinks with my buddies. Get to the point!”
Jordan leaned back in his chair, studying the man coolly.
“Why don’t you tell me,” he said, voice calm, “why you swapped the microphone during the performance?”
The young man’s face darkened.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Jordan smirked.
“Oh?”
He gestured to the restaurant manager, who turned the tablet around.
On the screen—
A crystal-clear image of the young man swapping the microphones.
The color drained from his face.
Jordan’s eyes sharpened.
“Try lying again,” he said. “I dare you.”
