Chapter 57: The Final Goodbye
by SlivvoThe Amway Center was packed, buzzing with excitement.
Twenty thousand fans screamed as the superstar dominated the stage, even at fifty.
Jordan sat in the VIP section, just steps from the stage.
But he wasn’t here for the music.
His eyes were locked on Hailey and Tyler—seated right next to him.
Holding hands.
Publicly.
Jordan’s chest tightened.
For three years, he dreamed of this—sitting beside Hailey, watching a concert together.
Now, she was here… with another man.
Tyler’s Grand Proposal
Near the end of the show, the superstar wiped his sweat and smiled into the mic.
“I’m tired! Time for a fan to take over!”
The audience erupted.
Of course, the fan was already pre-arranged.
Tyler.
The superstar pointed at him.
“Let’s have our friend over here sing for us!”
A crew member handed Tyler a mic.
Tyler grinned smugly and turned to Hailey.
“I’d like to dedicate this song, Love Letter, to my girlfriend.”
He paused dramatically.
“And I’d like to take this opportunity to ask her…”
Tyler dropped to one knee.
“Hailey Camden, will you marry me?”
The crowd went wild.
Cheers. Screams. Applause.
It was everything Jordan had feared.
Victoria turned to Jordan, her voice low.
“Jordan… if you still love Hailey, this is your last chance.”
Jordan hesitated.
His hands trembled.
His heart pounded.
Could he really just sit here… and let her go?
Should he rush forward, reveal the truth, tell Hailey everything?
Should he throw revenge aside… just to have her back?
But before he could decide…
Hailey’s voice rang out, sweet and clear.
“I do.”
The dagger struck.
Jordan’s breath caught in his throat.
Tyler slipped the diamond ring onto Hailey’s finger.
Jordan stared at the ring, feeling like he was being torn apart from the inside out.
His Hailey… was gone.
The Superstar’s Unexpected Offer
As Tyler and Hailey basked in their moment, the superstar turned his gaze toward Jordan.
“How about you?” he said. “Would you like to make a song request too?”
The audience gasped.
Tyler’s smirk dropped.
What?
Did Jordan pay for a song request too?
Jordan, however, was just as confused.
He hadn’t spent a dime.
What he didn’t know was that the concert organizers were aware of who he was.
They knew Jordan Steele was the most powerful man in Orlando—and wanted to give him a moment.
Jordan gripped the microphone.
His fingers curled around it.
At that moment, he didn’t want to speak.
He wanted to sing.
There were things he could never say aloud…
But he could express them through music.
Jordan lifted his gaze.
“Can I play an instrument and sing along on my own?”
