Hailey’s words hung in the air like a noxious cloud.

    Jordan’s hands clenched into fists.

“You’re the one at fault, and you blame it on my background?”

Hailey scoffed, unfazed by his anger.

“It’s reality, Jordan,” she said. “Even my grandfather said the poor can never raise outstanding children.”

    Jordan’s jaw tightened.

    “All humans deserve equal respect.”

Hailey rolled her eyes. “Will you stop preaching?”

She suddenly reached for his hand.

“Jordan… give me a few years.”

    His breath hitched.

    “What do you mean?”

    Hailey’s voice was soft, coaxing.

“In a few years, I’ll inherit my family’s fortune. I’ll give birth to Tyler’s child. Then, we can get back together.”

    Jordan’s stomach twisted.

    She’s serious.

He stepped back. “Are you treating me as your standby lover?”

    Hailey sighed impatiently.

    Smack!

Jordan’s head snapped to the side.

    “I don’t like that word.”

She crossed her arms, her voice sharp.

“Be realistic. Only the rich marry the rich. You? You’ll only ever get leftovers.”

She tilted her chin up, proud.

“Think about it. In five years, I’ll have at least 150 million dollars. That’s more than you’ll ever earn in your entire life.”

Jordan stared at her in disgust.

“If this was another man, maybe he’d be grateful. But I will never be someone’s second option.”

    Hailey’s nostrils flared.

“Do you know how many men would KILL to be in your position? You should be grateful I’m even giving you the chance to come back to me!”

    Jordan laughed coldly.

    “Fine. I won’t force you.”

    His voice turned icy.

“I wish you a happy marriage. Just don’t come crawling back.”

    Hailey’s smile wavered.

“Pft, why would I regret it? Tyler is a hundred times better than you!

    Jordan turned and walked away.

Hailey shouted after him, her voice dripping with arrogance.

“In a few years, you’ll be a washed-up bodyguard, and you’ll be begging me to take you back! Let’s see if I even want you then!”

Jordan ignored her, bottling up his anger.

But soon, he would release it.

One Hour Later – Rose Garden Villas

Jordan’s newly purchased luxury villa was quiet, save for the faint sound of the night breeze.

He stood on the balcony, cigarette in hand, staring out over the city.

    Orlando would change.

And it would start with the Collins family’s downfall.

A car pulled up in the driveway.

    Victoria rushed inside, apologizing breathlessly.

“Mr. Steele, I’m so sorry. The traffic was awful—we spent half an hour just leaving the arena.”

Jordan exhaled slowly, his voice calm.

“I’ve officially started my revenge against the Collins. They’ll take time to prepare for a grand wedding.”

    His eyes turned cold.

“But by the time Tyler and Hailey are ready to marry… the Collins family will be ruined.”

    Victoria’s breath hitched.

    He’s serious.

She had never seen a man so determined, so utterly merciless.

    Jordan turned to her.

“You know the Collins well. Tell me about them.”

    Victoria nodded.

“The Collins are run by Tyler’s father, Leonard Collins. His biggest business is Era Express Hotels—a mid-tier hotel chain.”

She continued, “He owns over twenty hotels in Orlando, including Seven Stars Hotel and Luxe Hotel.”

Jordan flicked his cigarette ash, his voice unreadable.

“They aggressively expanded into third- and fourth-tier cities… and lost millions in the process.”

    Victoria’s eyes widened.

    He knows about that?

    Jordan smirked slightly.

“If it weren’t for Paul Dubrule, they’d still be bleeding money.”

    Victoria gasped.

    “Wait—Paul Dubrule? The hotelier magnate?”

    Jordan nodded.

    “He’s a friend of my grandfather’s.”

    Victoria stared at him.

Just how powerful is his family?!

    Jordan’s smirk deepened.

“Leonard Collins owes everything to Dubrule.”

“All I need is for Uncle Dubrule to give him a little… push.”

    His eyes gleamed.

“And it’ll be game over for Leonard Collins.”

    Victoria shivered.

    Tyler Collins had no idea.

But his family was already doomed.
