    (N/A)

Hailey was so thrilled that, in her mind, she was already Jordan’s wife again.

Since Butler Frank is Jordan’s subordinate, that makes him mine as well.

Acting as if she had already regained her position, Hailey said, “Butler Frank…”

    Jordan’s expression darkened.

He had expected her to respectfully address him as Mr. Reyes—after all, Butler Frank wasn’t just an ordinary butler. But instead, she spoke as if she owned him.

Jordan could call him Butler Frank because he was his subordinate. But Hailey? She had no right.

Yet, Hailey, oblivious to her mistake, continued, “I’m flattered. Since Jordan treats you like family, I will do the same from now on. Don’t worry.”

Jordan smirked at her words. She really thought she was doing him a favor.

As if she were granting Butler Frank a higher status—permitting him to no longer be a servant now that she was about to “reclaim” her place.

Butler Frank, ever humble, simply smiled and replied, “Thank you, Miss Camden.”

Jordan then gestured to the other man in the room. “That’s Butler Frank’s grandson, Greyson Reyes. He’s about our age, but he suffered a leg injury a few years ago.”

Hailey turned to Greyson, her expression softening.

“Oh dear,” she said, walking over to shake his hand. “That’s so pitiful. You’ve lost your mobility at such a young age.”

Greyson’s jaw tightened slightly, but he remained composed.

“I was in an accident two years ago,” he replied.

Hailey gave him a sympathetic look. “I’m so sorry that happened to you. But don’t worry, Jordan and I will take care of you—just like your grandfather has taken care of Jordan all these years.”

    Jordan almost laughed out loud.

Did she just… offer to take care of Greyson?

Did she think Butler Frank’s family was hers to command?

As if she were the lady of the house, deciding how her husband’s loyal retainers would be treated?

Then she turned to Jordan and added, “Let’s give Greyson some money or take him to a good hospital. Maybe there’s still a chance for him to recover completely.”

Jordan stared at her, his amusement fading into sheer disbelief.

Hailey always mocked him for being a “hillbilly.”

Now, it was clear—she was the real hillbilly.

Jordan leaned forward, speaking in a measured tone.

“Butler Frank may be our butler, but he has a net worth of several billion dollars. He doesn’t need our money. He can afford the best doctors in the world.”

    Hailey’s entire demeanor shifted.

    Her mouth parted slightly.

    “B… billions?” she stammered.

She had assumed Butler Frank was just a servant. In her mind, butlers weren’t wealthy—they were hired help.

    But billions?

Even at their peak, the Camdens had only amassed hundreds of millions—and that was their entire family fortune.

Even the Collins, a listed company, didn’t reach that level of wealth.

Now, she was looking at a butler who was richer than the wealthiest men in Orlando.

Her tone immediately became more respectful.

“Are you… also the president of a company?” Hailey asked hesitantly.

Butler Frank, still humble, shook his head. “No, no, I’m just a servant. Mr. Jordan’s grandfather taught me how to invest, and I simply followed his lead.”

“When he bought stocks, I bought stocks. When he invested in real estate, I invested in real estate. Over the years, my wealth accumulated.”

“It’s all thanks to the Steele family. Mr. Jordan, his brothers, and even his wife can take it as they please.”

Hailey’s eyes sparkled at the word ‘wife.’

    That means me!

She turned to Jordan, new excitement in her gaze.

“If Butler Frank is already a billionaire… then your grandfather must have… tens of billions?

Before Jordan could answer, Butler Frank chuckled.

“Miss Camden, Mr. Steele has much more than just tens of billions.”

    Hailey froze.

    Her hands clenched into fists.

Jordan’s net worth… was beyond tens of billions?

She patted Jordan’s arm playfully, her tone turning coquettish. “You’re so mean! You never told me how rich your grandfather was.”

Butler Frank chuckled. “Miss Camden, don’t hold it against him. The test his grandfather put him through was strict. If he had revealed his identity, he would have failed the test entirely.”

    Hailey nodded in understanding.

“Yes, Grandpa did it for Jordan’s own good,” she agreed. “Most rich kids grow up spoiled and reckless, but this was a great way to keep him grounded.”

Then, without warning, she leaned in and kissed Jordan’s cheek.

“I don’t blame you anymore, darling.”

Jordan sighed, resisting the urge to wipe his cheek.

If he had expected it, he would’ve dodged.

Instead, he simply said, “Let’s eat.”

    A Meal of Deception

As the dishes arrived, Hailey’s excitement grew.

“These are all my favorites!” she beamed. “Thank you, Jordan.”

Jordan smiled. “I told you I’d make it up to you tonight.”

Hailey reached for his hand across the table.

“Don’t say that. I was at fault too,” she said sweetly. “Let’s just forget the past and focus on the future.”

Jordan immediately shrugged off her hand.

    It was time.

    This needed to end now.

“Hailey Camden,” he said, his voice calm but firm. “I think you’ve misunderstood. The reason I invited you here tonight… is because I’ve set you up on a blind date.

    Hailey blinked.

    “…What?”

    Jordan gestured to Greyson.

“Greyson is about your age. He’s the sole heir to his family’s fortune, which makes him one of the wealthiest young men in the country.

“I know you’ve always dreamed of marrying a billionaire—someone who could elevate your family to the top tier of Orlando’s elite.”

Hailey’s face turned red with rage.

“You’re setting me up with a servant?!” she shrieked. “Are you humiliating me?!”

    Jordan’s gaze hardened.

“Miss Camden,” he said icily, “watch your words. They are my subordinates, not yours.

Hailey’s hands trembled as she pointed at Greyson.

“You expect me to marry an invalid?” she spat. “This is your way of getting back at me, isn’t it? You’re mocking me!”

    Jordan’s tone remained calm.

“It’s true that Greyson may not be able to satisfy certain needs of yours,” he said, “but considering we slept in separate rooms for three years, you should be used to a marriage without a sex life.

    Hailey’s breathing became ragged.

    She was shaking. Seething.

Jordan leaned forward. “Let’s also not forget… you’re now a twice-divorced woman. Most wealthy heirs wouldn’t even consider you.”

“You should think carefully before rejecting Greyson. You may not get another offer as good as this.”

    Hailey snapped.

She grabbed a glass of water and threw it in Jordan’s face.

“I REFUSE TO SETTLE! I WON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!” she screamed.

    Tears welled in her eyes.

“Jordan Steele, you’ve gone too far! I love you, and you’re pushing me to another man!”

She turned and stormed out of the room, sobbing.

    Jordan watched her go, unfazed.

    Finally, she understood.

    This wasn’t a second chance.

    This was the end.
